NCU Player of the Year Awards sponsored by Cartwrights Sports Ltd

The NCU Player of the Year Awards, sponsored by Cartwrights Sports Ltd, for the Premier League, Senior Leagues 1, 2 & 3 and the Women's Premier League were presented at the NCU's Annual Dinner on Saturday past.

CIYMS’s opening batsman and wicketkeeper, Chris Dougherty was the Premier League Player of the Year.  His weight of runs at the top of the order in all competitions in 2019 and his 23 victims behind the stumps made him a worthy winner.

Other individual awards were presented to Stephen Bunting, the Section One Player of the Year, Cliftonville Academy veteran Johnny Terrett was the top player in Section Two and Sean Cameron from Dundrum CC got the vote for Section Three

The Women’s Player of the Year was Alison Cowan of Premier League champions CSNI CC.

Pictured receiving his award is Johnny Terrett, Cliftonville Academy CC, Section 2 Player of the Year.

Cartwrights Sports Ltd have sponsored these awards since their inception in 2014 and are delighted to be involved in the recognition of individual players achievements.

John Kerstens said “We are delighted to be sponsors of these awards.  It is the uniqueness of the awards that attracted us as it is the players from the respective Sections who vote for the individual winners each year.  Congratulations to all the winners”.
