Roy, as nice a setting dundrum is i dont think the onfield conditions would be suitable for a cup final never mind the off field conditions. As much to do with where they are based it can be very wet and the pitches wouldnt be the greatest in the world, certianly not good enough for a senior cup final. (i am sure this will get a response from jeff, i have to stir the pot before the derby games next season)

Challenge Cup Final 2011

What a nice touch for the NCU Challenge Cup final be played at Wallace Park Lisburn - in the clubs 175th year.

I like the idea of moving the final venue each year among the suitable grounds. Wallace Park is a worthy venue that has recent years of experience hosting the Junior Cup.

It would be nice to see a final at Dundrum - a lovely ground, but the off field facilities may prevent this. Also it would be good to see finals at Woodvale, Templepatrick, Muckamore or Holywood - clubs that recently put a lot of time and money into improving their grounds.

I think it's disgraceful that Ireland have poached one of the most promising young England players.

How can they expect to be taken seriously on the international stage when they can't produce young Irish talent ;-)

While it's good to see Ed Joyce back and eligble to play for the Irish cricket team again, I wonder if, deep down he ever regrets leaving the Ireland camp in the first place were he was an established top Irish International cricketer and then deciding to defect and play for England ?

My point being, he may have had much more success had he stayed where he was !

Any views ?

Must admit Australia at home will be hard to compete with, but feel England have a good shout. Feel a close series battle ahead maybe a series draw... (odds please JEFF!!)

Have to agree vic-england are not the best and ozzies on their own patch pretty awesome. Had the pleasure in 06/07 of witnessing the 5 nil drubbing of england after the elation of 2005-so again the english media talking up the english after an ashes victory at home etc. If england win fairplay but its not as clear-cut as the english media make out. What i would say the english CRICKET fans are great on tour and after being at the boxing day test in 2006 when warne took his 700th wicket and england all but 4-nil down-30,000 english people(and a few irsih) still sang all the classic supporters songs
