ANGEL HOUSE CHARITY T20

10 August 2011

On Sunday 14th August an Angel House XI will play the Pune Cricket Masters Academy at Newforge Country Club, Belfast.

The match will be played to help raise funds to set up a baby rescue centre in Bangalore, India. One aspect of the charity’s work will be to care for abandoned babies and give them a normal family upbringing. Angel House will be run by Janet and Nelson Raja who currently live in Portadown but will be leaving for Bangalore within the next few months.

The Angel House XI will be captained by Neil Carson and be made up of current Indian professionals playing in the NCU.  Former Ulster Rugby star Jan Cunningham will also play along with another guest star from the local sports scene!

The Pune Academy side is linked with Donaghcloney Cricket Club and has toured the province on a number of occasions.  The side is made up of some of the best young Indian cricketers in that area.  The Academy has provided and currently provides professionals to NCU sides.

The match will begin at 2pm and has been kindly sponsored by Lolita Restaurant, Stranmillis.  Food and refreshments will be available in the Charleston Suite from 1pm.  There will be a £10 admission charge for adults and no charge for children.  Photographic ID is required for entry.

Everyone is most welcome to attend and it is an excellent opportunity to watch some top class cricket and make a difference to what is a very worthwhile cause.

If you have any further queries please contact event organiser, Neil Carson.
