For those of you who didn't get to hear Henry Olonga last week one of his interviews is available on line. Go to www.newtownbredabaptist.com and then 'downloads' followed by 'sermons' and look for the link to '11-4-10 pm Roger Carswell with Henry Olonga'. Those who of you who were there and all at Lisburn CC, who I believe have heard him previously, will confirm that he is a highly talented and very interesting speaker. Not to mention a superb singer!!
He may be visiting NI again on 24th August and doing a cricket related event. I'll keep you all posted.

RE: Volcanic Ash
With flights looking like they could be cancelled all week how many clubs pros have actually made it into the country or will do by the start of the season this saturday? I believe North Down, CIYMS, and Instonians have all arrived?
How are team's pre-season friendlies going?
Victoria (Lurgan) nearly pulled off a shock against their namesakes over in Glasgow. Bowled the homeside out for 134, Stephen Bunting finishing with figures of 10-4-31-5, but unfortunately the Lurgan men failed to make the total. Whether it was the batting or the hangovers which were to blame, I;m not sure...
Re. Ryan
I think it is clear that the clubs feel we need more council pitches, therefore perhaps BCC could let the clubs know where they are at in terms of new artificials being put in place.Lack of info/feedback on the part of BCC has not helped the situation.

Continuing on the Section 1 topic - From what I can gather (not much), Muckamore have gained a few, Laurelvale have lost a few, and both the Vale and Armagh are without professionals.
Anyone any news on who's moving where?
Re Cricket Factory..
Great to see the pics from the Muckamore Cricket Factory day. A great innovation by the club!
Editor.
With so many permutations on the 1 to 10 finishes in Section One could you not start a competition with a £2 a go entry fee and the winner( s ) taking 50% and the rest going to the Lord's Taverners. Could this be set up online ?
Deadline Friday 23rd April.
Re Predictions.
I think it is very difficult to give predictions until you see the squads of the various teams as I'm sure they have changed over the winter. Interesting to know if this has been taken into consideration or whether the predictions are based on last years efforts from the various teams. Anyone know of any late transfer activity?
