Extremely concerned and deeply upset that a very promising and dedicated young cricketer and friend will miss the biggest game of their life this week...at the expense of an extremely less promising and less dedicated senior cricketer...politics strikes again in local cricket me thinks!
Re Billy's post I heard the same story. I think some people need to lighten up and remember this is only a sport. People seem to ladder their tights too easily these days. Where has all the fun gone? It is no wonder that guys are heading for the golf course when you read some of the stuff on here and the other channel.
neil , ok bet is on & im sure ill see if not sun at the england game .would wish you good luck but have too support that ONCE AGAIN FINE CLUB CLIFTONVILLE and im sure it will be good game & after. re vic jons thanks for your kind post as have to say we do try our best too all teams & supporters as not hard to offer make anyone tea or coffee.re tayto i would have bet with you on the cup final but you never PAY UP but if you can stretch the purse too a pint ill take INSTONIANS as they stopped Dundrum from being in the final .ps think if the weather stays away this could be a cracker as both teams have lots potential match winners ,re wayne norwood think waringstown just slight favs to win premier over north down but think your club CISN hold the key & if your their on friday i might just hold a few bets on it .
re philip doyle
story goes north down alleged on their website that cousins cheated in the league game, something to do with going over the rope fielding, and had to take it off due to a threat of legal action
this could be nonsense as i heard it about fifth hand!
forgot to ask in my last post....what is the story about Andrew Cousins and North Down/Waringstown that people have been talking about?
Quite a few big names lined up to play tomorrow! David/Ian Humphreys, Andrew White, Kyle McCallen, Isaac Boss, Neil Doak to name a few!
Fingers crossed the rain stays away so that there will be some sort of match played!
Davey, maybe you could explain the Waringstown angle on the Cousins matter as I've heard one version that seems very straightforward?
Jeff that is a bet!!Will be a tight game and could go either way, lets hope weather is good!!
Senior Cup winner - rain according to the bbc web site
Anyone heading to this match at Armagh tomorrow?
I might head down myself for a look about. Lets hope the bar is open.
Who alls playing in it?
Senior Cup Final:
Well just a few days to go to the showpiece final of the year. How does everyone see it going? I think it could be a real good final but see North Down winning a tight final.
Dundrum 2nds-v-Victoria 2nds
Just like to post a comment on the forum regarding the very enjoyable game we played against the Dundrum second string,Sat. past.
Despite being on the losing team and being clouted into yawn river a couple of times,it was a great days cricket and good to see plenty of young lads playing on both teams.
Also the wife and our two very young boys came for the day out and were made very welcome by all at Dundrum. Many thanks for tea & sandwich etc. Cheers Vic. Victoria C.C.
There's me thinking Staffy Bull was just a breed of Dog!!! As for the Green Shields stamps Final, well philately will get you nowhere, mind you , Paul can come over and see my stamp collection anytime.
'Bod' , doesn't get much first team action these days, lives down Portadown way, Lurgan should give him a call, they liked slow bowlers who didn't turn it down there.
Seem to also recall Lurgan waiting around a right while at Mallusk when the 'Ville were batting .
We have a wee warm up for Sunday's final on Saturday at Pollock Park, maybe you could ask your mates to take it easy on us as like the 'stamps' , we don't want to be licked before we need to deliver!!!
Staffy,
Are you going to do another column on the other channel soon? Enjoy reading your views as well as the Rankings stats.
Sour grapes Davey? The only chance of a trophy going to Waringstown this year is if The Planters wins Pub of the Year!
